Biography

Jeanne Exnicios brings an extensive wealth of communications and marketing experience to the Tulane Institute of Innovation, having served as the publisher of Gambit, bestofneworleans.com, and Adore magazine. Throughout her multi-decade tenure with the award-winning local newsweekly, Jeanne played a pivotal role in delivering high-quality journalism to the New Orleans region, in addition to providing strategic communications and marketing guidance to numerous local and national businesses.

Beyond her impactful publishing career, Jeanne has actively contributed to community initiatives, including serving as the program coordinator for Global New Orleans (the local administrator of the State Department's International Visitor Leadership Program), participated in the New Orleans Business Alliance Economic Development Ambassadorship program, and served on multiple boards such as the Association of Alternative Newsmedia, Communities in Schools of the Gulf South, and JRNOLA (The New Orleans Junior Journalism Program).

Jeanne's career journey began with a degree in Marketing and Communications from the Fashion Institute of Technology, coupled with an internship at Time Out New York magazine. Returning to her hometown, she embarked on a remarkable career at Gambit, starting as an advertising coordinator and ascending the ranks to become the third publisher in the publication's forty-year history.

With a passion for New Orleans and entrepreneurship, Jeanne is eager to bring her expertise to showcase the transformative vision of the Tulane Innovation Institute.
